It took a bit of digging through the Leigh rugby club archives to see if the two teams had met before. And it was way back in the 2012/13 season when Leigh first met Whitstable 3s in the league, each claiming victory on home soil. They have not met since then. Leigh are looking to get back to winning ways after a couple of challenging fixtures, but the spirit as ever is high if not slightly inebriated with the prospect of league rugby again after a week off.
